Customized Detox Plan for Opioid Addiction Treatment

Opioid addiction is one of the fastest-growing addictions that require treatment. In 2019, it was estimated that 62 million people worldwide were using opioids. But how does a detox plan for opioid addicts work?

Your First Appointment

At your first appointment, our staff at Findley Recovery will discuss your current circumstances and how your addiction is affecting your life. It is at this stage that we will make recommendations about how your detox will take shape and discuss the treatments that we offer.

Staying at Our Facilities

Our world-class facility in Ohio offers detox treatments for drug and alcohol dependency. We offer a residential inpatient program where you can stay as part of your detox process. While you are staying with us, you will have access to a full range of treatments that are overseen by our expert staff. All of our staff have been trained to the highest standard to help support you through your rehabilitation process. As you may be going through withdrawal, we have a team that can help you through the experience. The symptoms you may experience during withdrawal are-:

  • Anxiety
  • Stomach problems such as vomiting
  • Flu-like symptoms such as chills
  • Body aches
  • Intense mood swings
  • Depression
  • Problems sleeping
  • Hypertension or high blood pressure

As you can see, these are not things you would want to deal with on your own which is why our facility in Ohio can provide a safe space for you.

What Can You Expect From Our Detox Plans?

The act of detoxing is about much more than removing the toxins from your body. As part of the Findlay Recovery process, you will have access to a variety of treatments including-

  • Talking Therapies – One of the most important steps we can take in the rehabilitation process is talking about addiction. For many people, drugs are used to mask mental trauma that has occurred throughout their life. This could be anything from childhood abuse to PTSD from military service. As we talk through what has led you to your drug use, we will also discuss ways to support you and heal from your trauma.
  • Medical Treatments – At Findlay Recovery, we have access to some of the world’s best medicines and pharmaceuticals to help you through your recovery. We understand that opioid addiction can be a difficult one to break.
  • Detoxification – Detoxification, or detox, is the process where your body removes toxins from your body. You may be familiar with the term “going cold turkey”, but this can be a dangerous process. As your body goes through withdrawal, you may experience a number of symptoms. As your body detoxes, your tolerance level to opioids drops dramatically, meaning if you relapse and take the same dose you took before, you are likely to die of an overdose.
  • Self Help – As part of the long-term aftercare, we will ensure you have the tools in place to help you help yourself. This includes information about your local Narcotics Anonymous.
